Air revolution

A padded and removable tongue provides better air circulation. Feet are kept dry thanks to better ventilation resulting in better protection against cold and heat. The light weight and balanced temperature of our Air revolution shoes provides better performance, increased security and excellent comfort when outdoors or in mountainous areas.

hikking shoesThe grooved structure provides a perfect stability for the ankle and protects the foot from obstacles. The build of the shoe provides maximum breathability whilst keeping a sufficient rigidity.

mountain shoes

The open to the top removable tongue acts as a pumping device in the shoe. The air circulates within the shoe thanks to the actual movements created whilst walking. The tongue is fastened at the front and at the top extremity of the shoe with a Velcro fastener.

Languette

The whole tongue is a combination of 3D stitches and a kind of sponge with holes that cushions the shocks and allows the air to circulate. This creates the effect of pumping. To obtain an anatomical shape, a stabilizer made of micro fibres is sewn on the tongue. The Velcro fastener perfectly fixes the tongue to the front and to the top extremity of the shoe.

The bending area creates the transition from the back, stable side to the supple leather and perfectly padded tongue.

Construction of the heel

Metal pieces for the ankle-support.
High-quality components made of stainless steel: high-quality Meindl metal pieces for a perfect sliding of the laces, from now on with a protective notch. The new hooks are bent to the inside next to the opened hem. It is not possible to snag the foot with the other shoe.

to fix the lace on 2 or 3 areas. The new buckle system in “P†does not break or pull out of shape and the lace slides easily.

Digafix 1
DIGAfix 1

It is a diagonal fastening system at the level of the instep. It is flexible and does not cause any pressure. It allows a counter-lacing. The traction works at the right place. The hook is situated higher and closer to the inside of the shoe. It prevents the hook from catching. Thanks to Digafix, the fastening is lower than the traction hooks. It allows an ideal lacing and an optimal fastening.

Support hooks for 2 areas lacing.

Digafix 2
It is a reinforced string with a lateral stabilizer system (Speed wire) which re-inforces the shoe from the ankle to the heel. When you lace the shoe,â€Speedwire†is directly applied to the foot. It allows getting a flexible fastening without any pressure and it ameliorates the heel position. Thanks to the raised position of the polyamide buckle, the stabilizer system reduces the risk of spraining the ankle. Fastening hooks allow a 2 areas lacing.

APS tongue system
APS tongue systemThe edge of the tongue is generously padded. The lining of the tongue is conceived with opened extremities and allows the foot to adapt itself without any pressure. Thanks to an asymmetric line of conduct and a flexible zone, the tongue adapts itself to the individual positions of the foot and to the movements at the level of instep.

Thanks to the sewing system, the tongue distributes the pressure evenly. Which shoe for what requirement? In order that you can make an informed decision, Meindl spreads the Trekking shoes over different fields.
